ReadiBus 
aims to provide mobility and independence to people with restricted mobility who would otherwise have great difficulty in getting out and about.  ReadiBus' principal service is a Dial-a-Ride door-to-door, fully accessible, assisted bus service for people who cannot use, or have great difficulty in using, ordinary public transport. It is available in Central and West Berkshire and in parts of the fringe of South Oxfordshire. Some services are timetabled and run at the same time each week.

What is The People’s Kitchen?
The People’s Kitchen utilises and spreads awareness of food waste and celebrates the power of community by bringing together a team of volunteers to transform food that was heading for landfill into beautiful cooked meals that are served up on a ‘pay what you want’ basis.  http://thepeopleskitchen.org/  no current peoples kitchen in Reading known, unless you like to set one up!
